Dr. Jennifer Castro
Dr. Jennifer Castro earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine with honors. She went on to successfully complete her General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and later completed her advanced education specialty training in Endodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. Throughout her career, Dr. Castro has had an affinity for teaching and community involvement. She taught Endodontics at NYU and helped launch outreach programs to underprivileged communities at Columbia University.
She has been a board member of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine’s Executive Alumni Committee and is head of the Mentor Program. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the New York State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Castro is committed to delivering the highest quality care with that extra gentle touch. She adopts the latest technology in her diagnosis and treatment, practicing endodontics at the highest standard.
Dr. Linda Shin
Dr. Linda Shin is an American born Korean, born and raised in Michigan. She has a Bachelor in Science in physiology from Michigan State University. Her studies continued at the University of Michigan where she obtained her graduate degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. Subsequent to school, she did a residency in general dentistry at the Veteran’s Administration, San Francisco. Upon starting her career, she worked as a cosmetic general dentist, owning her own practice in the financial district and Union Square area of San Francisco. During that time, she continued to teach at the University of California, San Francisco as a clinical faculty member.
In 2001, Dr. Shin moved to New York City where she has been raising a family with three children. During her early years, she continued to practice general dentistry and also became an associate faculty member at Columbia University, School of Dental Medicine.
It was during this transition that Dr. Shin decided to specialize in Endodontic Therapy at Columbia University. Subsequent to her obtaining her specialty degree, she continued to teach in the Endodontic Graduate Clinic part time.
With thirty years of experience, Dr. Shin remains passionate about her career and is eager to maintain the best clinical care for her patients. Her experience with pain management is a top priority to ensure maximum patient comfort.
Dr. Deborah Gortler
Dr. Jessica Kagan
Dr. Jessica Kagan was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Italy before finding her way to Florida. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Kagan earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She went on to successfully complete her General Practice Residency at Manhattan Veterans Hospital and later completed her advanced education specialty training in Endodontics at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Kagan earned her board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Kagan prioritizes creating a comfortable environment for her patients. Her goal is to provide high quality, painless root canals. Dr. Kagan offers highly specialized root canal services with an emphasis on state of the art technology to enhance patient care.
